A chilling video dramatization of the ravages of writer’s block

After his tour de force portrayal of a blocked writer in this video, my nephew Evan confided that it was easy to play the part because that is the way he actually behaves when trying to write. I gently reminded him that his uncle (moi) had written a book that he might find helpful, and patiently inquired as to whether he had read it. He responded with a shoulder shrug, which I experienced as a less than fully gratifying, though age-appropriate, response.
